A Review of Eric Pulier’s Successful Career

Eric Pulier is an entrepreneur, a renowned author, technologist, a public speaker and a philanthropist. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Pulier has founded over 15 companies and raised millions of dollars for the different companies that he has established and co-established. Some of these companies include US Interactive, Digital Evolution, Media Platform, Service Mesh, Akana Desktone and the Enterprise Cloud Leadership Council. He is an active investor in venture capital funds and seed level startups in various industries, including media and technology. In 1988, Eric Pulier graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Harvard University As a student, he worked as a columnist and editor for PulierLeg, a weekly column for Harvard Crimson Weekly. He studied English & American Literature, Visual & Environmental Studies and Computer Science. Previously, Pulier was mandated with the duty of creating and running the ‘Bridge to the 21st Century” event for Bill Clinton and Al Gore during their 2nd inauguration. Pulier raised all the required funds through corporate and personal offerings. In addition, he oversaw the shipment of the equipment and technology. During Mr. Winograd’s tenure, Eric served on the board of the CTM for four years. Winograd was the vice president’s senior domestic policy advisor.

As a philanthropist, Pulier has actively contributed in endeavors that incorporate technology to address different problems in disadvantaged communities or physically challenged children in the United States and worldwide. He has also engaged with Multiple Sclerosis Society, US Doctors for Africa benefit event, Clinton Global Foundation, Ace Foundation, “Campaign for Free College Tuition,” and XPRIZE. Eric has donated to Starlight Foundation’s initiative, Starbright, which he personally designed and built. The project aims at supporting kids suffering from chronic illnesses. It also manages a group of paid and volunteer resources from concept to completed program. Raised in Teaneck, New Jersey,Pulier started learning the business of technology early as he began programming computers in the fourth grade. After graduating college, Eric Pulier founded People Doing Things in Los Angeles. This company used technology to find solutions for health care and education issues. He then started Digital Evolution in 1994. This company would go on to merge with US Interactive LLC in 1998. Pulier used his experiences stating these companies to start a private social network for chronically ill children call Starbright World.

After founding several more companies, Pulier was invited to speak at then Vice President Al Gore’s health/technology forum. He also designed the “Technology Bridge to the 21st Century” which was put on display at the Washington Mall.

Along with all of his accomplishments in business, Pulier has also made a name for himself through his philanthropic efforts. Most of the initiatives that he takes part in are based around using technology to solve issues that plague the world. One program he created was an educational computer program that taught Multiple Sclerosis patients about their disease. Pulier also donates to the ACE foundation. ACE is an organization that reshapes how software is developed in order to fit needs for issues such as providing clean drinking water access.
