AXA, a multinational insurance company headquartered in Paris, has been in existence since 1817 when it was founded by Claude Bebear. Originally, the company was named Mutuelle de L’assurance contre L’incendie and went through several name changes over the years before finally becoming AXA for good in 1999. The company operates in Europe, as well as the United States, Canada, several countries in Africa, Australia, and much of Asia Pacific. The company supplies a wide range of services from life insurance to specialty insurance to health and home insurance. In addition to the company’s artistic and social philanthropies, AXA started a research fund in 2008. The research fund is tasked with creating a better understanding of the various risks threatening humanity, society, and the environment. In the span of just three years, 256 projects were funded.
Vinny Parascandola is the Senior Executive Vice President of AXA Advisors, the American branch. He has worked in the industry for over 25 years, having started his career as an agent for Prudential in 1987. From there he moved to MONY Life Insurance, where he worked his way through several management positions before moving to AXA in 2004.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Vinny Parascandola has earned several awards, including the GAMA’s Career Development and Master Agency Awards. He has been asked to speak at a wide variety of AXA and industry conferences. And in 2014 He gave the commencement speech at Pace University in New York, where he received his undergraduate degree.
