Kevin Feige Discusses Where The MCU Is Going

The always helpful Kevin Feige has taken some more time out to speak to fans of Marvel movies. The head of Marvel Studios has opted to discuss matters related to the timeline of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans have an idea of what movies are coming out. They might not be sure as to when the films are appearing and how each new entry fits into the overall future scheme of the MCU.

Marvel is currently shooting Captain America: Civil War and is immediately moving onto shooting Doctor Strange. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 then goes into production. Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man shoot almost simultaneously. Of course, ApartmentHomeLiving wrote that the films will be released in order of release. Thor is going to come out after Spider-Man.

At present, Guardians of the Galaxy is not intertwining with any other Marvel movies. Civil War is going to change the shape of the current status of the MCU. (Civil War builds on the fallout from Avengers: Age of Ultron) The various solo hero movies are going to be set up (in part) from Civil War. Likely, everything is going to lead to another massive all-out superhero save the world scenario in the form of Avengers: Infinity War Part I.

Marvel really deserves a lot of credit for coming up with the plan to allow each film to build upon previous events and remain connected to an overall universe. The idea definitely leads audiences to wanting to come back time and time again.
